Hogan

Personality is the driving force behind human behavior.

Hogan eats, sleeps, and breathes personality psychology. They study the science of personality, they’ve pioneered the use of personality tests to improve workplace performance, and their tests evaluate all aspects of personality: the bright side, the dark side, and the inside. But they also understand that not everyone knows personality like they do, and that’s why they put together this guide to help you develop your expertise.

Only Hogan examines personality from every angle. By measuring the bright side, dark side, and inside of personality, we’re able to achieve the highest level of predictive validity in the industry.

It identifies your preferred approach to emotional, analytical, structural, and strategic thinking as well as provides you with a visual representation of your preferred thinking and communication style.

Your personal thinking preferences influence your communication, decision-making, problem solving, and management styles. Understanding your thinking style preferences gives you a new perspective of yourself and others you interact with every day.

TKI

The Thomas Kilmann conflict mode Instrument (TKI® assessment) is the world’s best-selling conflict management tool.

It helps trainers, managers, and other professionals conduct productive one-on-one and group discussions about conflict. The instrument helps people understand how using different conflict management styles affects interpersonal and group dynamics, empowering them to choose the best approach for any situation.

The TKI assessment provides insight into an individual’s typical response to conflict situations using one or more of five conflict-handling modes, or styles: competing, accommodating, avoiding, collaborating, and compromising. These modes reflect varying levels of assertiveness and cooperation. By identifying alternative conflict resolution styles and how and when to use them most effectively, the TKI assessment helps people reframe and defuse conflict, creating more productive outcomes.

MBTI

The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator is a self-report inventory designed to identify a person's personality type, strengths, and preferences.

The questionnaire was developed by Isabel Myers and her mother Katherine Briggs based on their work with Carl Jung’s theory of personality types. Today, the MBTI inventory is one of the world’s most widely used psychological instruments.

Based on the answers to the questions on the inventory, people are identified as having one of 16 personality types. The goal of the MBTI is to allow respondents to further explore and understand their own personalities including their likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, possible career preferences, and compatibility with other people.

Clifton Strengths

The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment was created under the leadership of educational psychologist Donald Clifton.

He wanted to identify the skills of the best of the best of the best, and capitalize on them.

The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment helps identify the areas where you (or team if being used in that context) have the greatest potential for building strength. It measures recurring patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior. Knowing this information is a starting point; Leadership Vision is then able to help individuals, teams and organizations leverage their Talents, and turn them into sustainable Strengths.

.

Strengths Finder

The EQ-i 2.0 provides you with a detailed assessment of your areas of strength and potential areas for development. You will receive a comprehensive report describing how your EQ competencies work together for effectiveness. It also provides suggested strategies for bringing your EQ competencies into balance for greater effectiveness.

5 Cohesive Behaviors of a Team

The Five Behaviors® profile system is based on The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni.

The five behaviors Lencioni identified will result—if each is maximized—in a team that operates as efficiently and effectively as possible. The characteristics of a cohesive team are Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability, and Results. Each behavior in the model builds upon the previous and supports the others. The team profile and facilitated program let team members know how they and the team are doing, and how they can become more cohesive.

The program helps teams understand how, as a team, they score on the key components of The Five Behaviors model: trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, and results. Each individual on the team will also understand their own personality style and their team members’ styles, based on the DiSC model: D: Dominance, i: Influence, S: Steadiness, and C: Conscientiousness, and how their style contributes to the team’s overall success.

The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team provides a comprehensive 40-page report that provides a valuable baseline measure of the team’s current situation in the areas of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results, and outlines a list of specific, actionable strategies the team can use to improve over time.

Influence Strategies

In 1959, French and Raven published a historic study of managerial power, which inspired researchers and theorists to study influencing tactics.

Korn Ferry combined these studies with 15 years of its own applied research to identify the most common and effective strategies for influencing others. These are the specific behaviors that help us influence most successfully.

The Influence Strategies Exercise (ISE) is a quick, easy-to-use tool that comes in the form of a paper-based booklet or an online tool. It helps individuals identify the strategies that they tend to use, evaluate their effectiveness and developing alternative strategies where needed.
